Terms of Service

Version 1.0

Agreement to Terms

By creating a Thrive account and using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You must be eligible to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

Subscription Service

Thrive is offered as a recurring subscription. All billing frequencies (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual) include the same Thrive features; the only difference is billing cadence and any applicable discount.

30-Day Free Trial

New subscribers begin with a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is collected when the trial starts. No charge is due during the trial.

Automatic Renewal

After your trial ends, your selected plan begins automatically and your subscription renews on the cadence you chose until you cancel.

Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Billing

You may choose Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual billing. Billing cadence determines how often you are charged; plan features are the same.

Payment Authorization

You authorize Thrive, through its payment processor Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees.

Promotion Codes and Discounts

Promotion codes or coupons may be offered from time to time and are managed through Stripe. Discounts apply according to the terms of the specific promotion.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current trial or billing period. Canceling during a trial means no first charge occurs.

Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, you retain access during a grace period so you can update your payment method. If the issue remains unresolved after the grace period, access is restricted until payment is restored.

Refund Policy

Refunds, where applicable, are handled according to the terms of your plan and applicable law. Contact support for assistance with billing issues.

Your Financial Information

Thrive stores the financial planning information you enter. Bank connections are handled through Plaid. Payment information is processed by Stripe. Thrive does not ask you to enter your bank password directly into the app.

Third-Party Services

Thrive integrates with third-party services including Plaid (bank connections) and Stripe (payments). These services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Thrive lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to access data that does not belong to you.

Intellectual Property

Thrive and its content are owned by their respective owners and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Service Availability

Thrive is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

Thrive is a planning tool and does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. To the extent permitted by law, Thrive is provided without warranties and liability is limited.

Termination

You may stop using Thrive at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Canceling a subscription does not delete your financial data.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new version number. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
